1. Entry fees are non-refundable
Run for the Mind is a community fundraiser. The entry fee is a contribution towards running the event and towards children’s education and community service in Mak BTR, and it is spent on T-shirts, medals, bibs, hydration and route arrangements well before race day. For that reason:
- Entry fees are not refunded for any reason, including if you cannot attend, fall ill or are injured, change your plans, arrive late, do not collect your kit, or do not finish.
- Registrations are not transferable to another person and cannot be deferred to a future event.
- Entry fees are not refunded if the route, start time, venue or programme changes, if the event is delayed on the day for weather or safety reasons, or if the event is postponed or cancelled for reasons beyond our control.
- Your distance can be changed up to kit collection by email: moving to a longer distance means paying the difference; moving to a shorter one is not refunded. T-shirt size and bib name can be corrected up to kit collection by emailing the organisers, subject to availability. These are not grounds for a refund.
2. Cancelling your registration
You can ask us to cancel your registration at any time by email. We will mark it cancelled and stop sending you event messages, but the entry fee will not be returned.
3. If the event is postponed or cancelled
If the event has to be postponed or cancelled for reasons beyond our control, such as weather, safety, permissions or a public-health order, entry fees are not refunded. The fee is a contribution to the cause and is spent on the event well in advance. We will email everyone who has registered as soon as a decision is made, and where the event is rescheduled your registration carries over to the new date.
4. Donations
Donations made through this website are voluntary gifts and are non-refundable. If you donated the wrong amount by mistake, email us within 48 hours with the payment ID and we will look at it in good faith.
5. Duplicate or failed payments
The one situation where money is returned is a duplicate charge, for example if you paid twice for the same registration.
- If money left your account but this website still shows your registration as unpaid, do not pay again. Payments are usually matched within a few minutes; if it still shows unpaid after an hour, email us with your registration reference and the Razorpay payment ID.
- If you were charged twice for the same registration or group, email us within 7 days with both payment IDs. Once Razorpay confirms the duplicate, we will refund it to the original payment method. Razorpay states that refunds take 5 to 7 working days to reach a bank account or card, and up to 10 working days for some banks.
- A payment that failed at the bank or UPI stage is normally reversed automatically by your bank within 5 to 7 working days. We do not receive that money and cannot speed up the reversal.
6. How to contact us about a payment
Email the organisers from the address you registered with. Include your name, registration reference (it starts with RFM-) and the payment ID (it starts with pay_). Full contact details are on the Contact Us page. We reply within 2 working days.
